What is home automation?
Lighting, heating, music even security access to your home is all controlled centrally, giving you the flexibility to have your home specifically set to your requirements. Lights to come on when you arrive, blinds to close at dusk, motion sensors in every room so that the heating switches on only when needed (so saves energy too) and iTunes to play your favourite tunes all for your arrival home. It won't pour you a gin and tonic, but after all the energy you've saved you might manage that one yourself.
